Floyd Rowe Clark, born July 20, 1944 son of Howard Dean Clark Sr. and Caley Lorraine Akenhead Clark in Little Rock, AR., passed from this life Jan. 24, 2012 in Springfield, MO. He married Garnet Ann Strawn on March 27, 1964 in Little Rock, AR. Both were members of the Little Rock Central High School Class of 1962.
The marriage was blessed with two daughters: Faye Lorraine (Lorri) and Sara Alicia.
He is survived by Garnet in Shannon County MO; daughter Lorri Murray, her husband Robert Lee; granddaughter, Caley Lorraine Murray of St. Louis, MO; daughter Sara Alicia Clark and her partner, Andrea MacLachlan of Canyon Lake, CA. Floyd also leaves four brothers: Dean, of Bossier City, LA. Jim of Sheridan, Noel of Bryant, and Joel of Little Rock. His parents preceded him in death.
After graduation from Little Rock Central in 1962, he attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a BS and MS. Floyd was an educator and administrator in several positions with the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as assistant director at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Floyd enjoyed singing a wide range of styles from classical choral works (with Garnet) to church anthems and barbershop, especially with Soft Touch, a barbershop quartet in Sedalia.
He provided leadership to every community in which he lived, serving on many boards, committees and community service endeavors throughout Missouri. He was devoted to his family and friends. His gentle love will continue in our hearts And lives. A life celebration is planned for later in the year.

Bobby Basham, a 1962 graduate of (Little Rock) Central, died Friday, Jan. 4 when the car he was driving plunged into a light pole on University Avenue. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Vincent's Infirmary
The other occupant of the car, Larry Cranford, was reported in serious condition at the hospital.
While at Central, Bobby served as president of his homeroom, and in 1962 reigned as Valentine King.
Bobby was a student at Arkansas State Teachers College at Conway, and attended church at Hunter Methodist Church in Little Rock.
He is survived by an older sister and parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Basham of 1924 Vance Street.
