MARGARET KNIEP TORRES, a member of the Little Rock Central High School Class of 1962, passed from this earth on May 4, 2018, to join the rest of her family in Heaven, where she will await those left behind. All she asks is that you celebrate her life and not her passing.
Margaret retired from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette after 35 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Kniep Sr. and Estell Joshlin; one son, Robert C. Torres, II and a great-grandson. She leaves to celebrate, one daughter, Cyndi Hettesheimer and one son, William "Davo" Torres; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother and wife William Kniep Jr. and Shirley; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends near and far all of whom she “loved bushels and pecks!!”
A celebration of life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she would like for you to give to your favorite Veterans Charity.
MARIAN E. MYRICK PEPPER, 73, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born in Little Rock, Ark., on January 17, 1945 to Fred Myrick, Jr. and Virginia Myrick Geer. Marian was the oldest of four children, followed by Becky Doan, Annette Myrick, and Fred Myrick.
In her early years, Marian lived in Los Angeles, Calif., before returning to Little Rock and graduating from Little Rock Central High School in 1962. Mrs. Pepper attended a church college in Oklahoma for one year before attending The University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
Marian enjoyed a long and successful career in mortgage underwriting. Throughout her life, she enjoyed reading and traveling, Marian was a great cook and loved to knit. Mrs. Pepper was also a lifelong student of scripture, always studying the Word of God passionately. She was the heart of her family, the warm caretaker of all her loved ones, whom shall miss her deeply.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings, children, and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

CONNIE LEE ANDREWS ATTERBERRY, 73, of Sherwood passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. She was born September 8, 1944 in Seymour, Indiana to George and Loy Beck Andrews. She was a 1962 graduate of Little Rock Central High School
She is survived by her husband, Danny Atterberry; children, Connie Ann Bryant (James) of Sherwood, Kimberly Dawn Rogers (Rick) of North Little Rock, and Jennifer Denise Seats (Dewayne) of El Paso, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Debbie Garner (Johnny) of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Dava Melissa Phillips and Michelle Lee Love; one great-granddaughter, Asia Michelle Smith; and her brother, George Wayne Andrews.
A visitation was 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services were 11 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at the funeral home. Online guest register at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
