RUTH ANN CARTER HUBBS, 38, died Dec. 22, 1982. She was born Aug. 16, 1944 in Bluff City, (Nevada County), AR to Ruth Alice Marsh, 25, and Hubert Gerald Carter, 28.
She was a member of the Little Rock Central High School Class of 1962.
Internment was at Mount Olive Cemetery, Izard County, AR

JAMES EDWARD CONEY, 62, of Alexander, died Sunday, January 9, 2005. James was a master carpenter who loved his craft and never considered it to be work.
His friends and family knew him to always be ready to have fun and when he laughed, he laughed all the way to his toes. He never met a stranger and loved to strum his guitar and sing, sometimes having to stop and laugh at his own lyrics.
His son, David preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Coney; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Mary; two grandchildren, Laura and Chris; his mother, Evelyn Sampley; his father, Dallas Coney and his wife, Nancy; his brother, Homer and wife, Pat; sisters, Louise and husband, Ron, Carolyn and
husband, Bob; special nephew, Michael Buckey and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral service was 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 12 at Christ Church on Vimy Ridge Road in Alexander,with Reverends’ G.A. and Joyce Dudley officiating. Burial was in Jones Cemetery in Grant County. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Southwest (501) 455-5800.
