Richard Glenn Wright
RICHARD GLENN WRIGHT of Cabot, AR passed away Jan. 18, 2023. He was born May 19, 1943, in Quitman, Ark., to Floyd and Willie Wright. Rick graduated from Central High in Little Rock where he was a member of the State Championship Track Team ’61-62, and entered the Air Force, eventually joining the SR-71 Blackbird program. He participated in shot and discus.
He spent 52 years in the automotive sales business first at Jones Toyota and then 32 years at Parker Lexus. Rick loved being with family and friends and sharing his passion for flying, fast cars, his love of the lake and traveling. He was very passionate about his work, those whom he met as customers have become lifelong friends.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Bunny; her mother, Glenda Wagoner; sons, Richard Wright (wife, Teresa; granddaughter, Gabby; Sean Wright (wife, Karon; grandchildren, Jackson; Madison; Isabella; Caden; Carter); daughter-in-law, Kim Wright (grandchildren, Kyla and Kasen); and
someone who was like a son to him, Raul Ponce; niece, Gina Jones-Hughes; and nephew, Ricky Anderson.
He was preceded in death by son, Gavin Wright; his parents, Floyd and Willie Wright; sisters, June and Nina; and best friends, Marshel and Pete.
We invite anyone who would like to share a memory of Rick or one of the many stories about him to do so at the service. A visitation was be held 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, with a Celebration of Rick's Life starting at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Roller Chenal Funeral Home.
